I've recently fallen a little bit in love with the art of calligraphy. I love the whimsical and decorative appeal of modern calligraphic styles and I think this might be the next craft I try to learn. I'd love to be able to produce fabulous typographical prints using calligraphy and incorporate calligraphy into my wedding stationery designs.
Whilst researching contemporary calligraphy online I came across the blog of the highly talented Love Jenna. Love Jenna has oodles of superb examples of calligraphic type in her portfolio, from wedding stationery to business logos to store front displays. I would highly recommend anyone with a passion for typography checks out her blog here.

I recently bought some fantastic hand made ceramic cups from StudioLORIER's Etsy shop. I love them!
StudioLORIER is based in Rotterdam, Netherlands and creates modern ceramic tableware with polygon surfaces. I love the vibrant, colourful glazed inside surfaces.
The cups I bought are made from a double layer of ceramic which keeps hot drinks hot for longer. And the look GREAT! Bowls and vases are also available.
Find StudioLORIER here.

As we get into a new year, many people have 2013 weddings on their minds, and with weddings come wonderful wedding stationery.
I have designed a range of funky, eye catching wedding stationery to really stand out from the crowd. I love to design wedding stationery since designing my own, and that of several friends. There is nothing more exciting than receiving a new batch of cards fresh from the printers and knowing what a wonderful day they will represent.
If you are looking for something a little different for your wedding invitations, save the dates, RSVP cards and more, take a look at the colourful Katy Clemmans wedding collection. You can download a brochure here. I have several designs that are especially perfect for beach themed weddings.
Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org for further information and quotes. I can turn around most orders very quickly, and you will be incredibly pleased with the high print standard.

This week I discovered the amazing work of Sarah Louise Matthews on Etsy. Sarah is a textile surface design graduate obsessed with paper and she sells some stunningly intricate paper art in her shop.
Items on sale include wall art, seasonal decorations, greetings cards and personalised items (I'm thinking perfect for gifts). Sarah's website is well worth a look, I particularly enjoyed her sketchbook section here.

|Katy Clemmans Lily of the Valley tote bag|
Totes Amaze! is an exhibition celebrating the rise of the tote bag to a creative canvas for self expression over the last 10 years, and I'm super-proud to say my Lily of the Valley bag is one of the totes on show! The exhibition showcases international talents working in tote bag design, including Andrea Forgacs, Gemma Busquets, and design consultancy Pentagram.
Totes Amaze! can be seen at the West Yorkshire Print Workshop gallery in Mirfield until 16th February, when it moves to MADE NORTH gallery in Sheffield, and then tours the UK throughout 2013. If you're in the area this weekend why not check it out!

Home - the interiors trade fair is currently on at Earls Court, London.
I wish I could have visited, but instead I have been checking out many of the exhibitors via the website and over the coming days will feature a few that particularly caught my eye.
London based designer Lindsey Lang is exhibiting her home-ware collection which includes tea towels, cushions, coasters and wall/floor tiles.
Lindsey's aim is to create high-quality functional products that are truly original works of art for the home. See more of Lindsey's products here.

Today I want to share one of my favourite recent discoveries for homewares.
Rouge Du Rhin was established in 1995 by Marianne Diemer, a former graphic artist who began her career in advertising and package design.
I LOVE the un-fussy geometric designs on these fabric products and would buy everything if I could! See more on the Rouge Du Rhin website here.

I'm in the process of renovating my home and have been looking for patterned tiles for my cloakroom - I thought I'd share some of the fab tiles that caught my eye yesterday - it's just a shame I can't seem to find this sort of thing locally! Maybe stenciling is the answer?

This weekend I'm visiting a friend in Manchester (UK). She wants to use some of my photography with an added splash of colour to decorate her new apartment so I'm giving her these images as a housewarming gift.
These images were all taken on my analogue Holga camera a few years ago in and around the Castlefield area.
You can see more of my Holga photographs here.

I finally found time to enter the latest Tigerprint contest - this time themed 'Spots & Stripes'. Due to my over-use of washi tape this Christmas my design is based on layers of the colourful tape in key 2014 colours. Here I've created a couple of mock ups of how the pattern could be applied to products. What do you think?

Currently in the day job I'm designing and animating with triangles. I love geometric design and share here some fabulous triangular inspiration.
Poly - an app on the iPad lets you create fantastic geometric artwork effects from your own photographs - I'd love to get this!
